During a recent press briefing, Managing Director Dipl.-Ing. Herbert Kendler presented the latest economic data. The data show that the turnover, which has climbed continuously over the past five years, reached an all-time high of 77.5 million Euros for the business year 2004/05. As of today, order volume for the first seven months of the current business year already point to a similar result, which should make it possible for us to stabilise turnover at this high level.According to Kendler, the overall turnover can be attributed to several measures. "We have been more successful in promptly identifying market potential and mobilizing our existing resources and highly motivated workforce in support of our wide-ranging activities in different business segments and ultimately our efforts to deliver added value for our customers. Our focus in this regard is on the operating safety of our plants and equipment and on the efficiency of that equipment in different operating modes," said Managing Director Herbert Kendler. We have been able to patent numerous innovations — including many focused on technological details — and secure international recognition for these patents. Thanks to our flexible sales organisation, the patents have already found applications in a variety of world markets. Technology and plants for the post-combustion cleaning of flue gases make a significant contribution to the overall sales volume. Here, too, we have been successful in turning its attention promptly to the market for renewable energy sources, offering a complete program of equipment for this sector that is second to none. Besides the ecological dimension, a number of patents have served to secure the economic efficiency of these plants as a competitive edge, something that continues to make a significant contribution to our success. This also includes biologically based technologies for cleaning MDF dryer exhaust gases in the wood-based panel industry. We recently commissioned the world’s largest plant of this type at Kronospan in Lampertswalde, not far from Dresden (Germany). The plant’s capacity is 1,100,000 Am³ of exhaust gas per hour (see photo). Another impressive example of our patents is the company’s EMC technology, which is used in cement plants all over the world and which has been installed in more than 60 plants within the last three years. This Energy-Minimizing-Concept (patented EMC technology) is not only convincing in terms of its high level of ecological safety with effective dust filtration, but is also especially impressive with respect to economical operation, which results in dramatically reduced operating costs for the plant operator. We also offer users in this market segment the benefit of its wide-ranging know-how in the form of complete process solutions that include cooling and dedusting technology. In total, all of our other business segments — including the wood and metal industries, as well as special fields of application — also performed as anticipated. "Despite our company’s increasingly broad spectrum of activity, we continue to focus in every market segment on the specific needs of our customers. The highly innovative character of our company, which also encompasses innovative detailed solutions, has made it possible to secure our business result and has allowed us to become a technology leader that is setting technological standards with respect to our core competence in extraction, filtration and exhaust gas cleaning," summarised MD Herbert Kendler. We currently employs some 500 workers and exports 65 percent of its products and services. |
